Our committees are a primary way that we make an impact in our community. Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary has a variety of committees that serve different organizations and initiatives to ensure support is provided. Explore our current committees and consider becoming a member.
Purpose: Promote Downtown Rotary as a “place where important conversations happen” through the Club’s programming.
Responsibilities:
Identify relevant program topics.
Secure speakers and moderators.
Provide support to program promotion.
Manage external program suggestions.
Chair: Kurt Loudenback
Purpose: Create a welcoming, organized atmosphere to Downtown Rotarians and their guests.
Responsibilities:
Create a smooth and efficient means of checking in, welcoming members and guests, creating a pleasant first impression.
Recruit and prepare Rotarians to greet, ensuring two or three are scheduled to welcome and work the registration table each meeting.
Run microphone during guest introductions and Q&A portions of the meeting.
Identify and schedule people to give invocations at meetings.

Purpose: Grow and build a club of active community leaders that represent the demographic makeup of the city of Sioux Falls. Help re-frame the perception from being “Where important people gather” to “Where important conversations happen.”

Purpose: Engage members by providing Rotarians opportunities for community service, fellowship and mentorship outside of weekly meetings.

Purpose: Develop and execute a strategy that influences internal and external perception of Downtown Rotary as a Top 25 Rotary Club in the world.
