We welcome and encourage you to join the Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary. The member qualifications and steps for membership are defined below. If you would like to become a member of one of the largest Rotary Clubs in the world, we welcome the opportunity to review your application.

Membership Qualifications

New members must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Do you meet at least one of the following criteria within a recognized business, profession, or community service organization: ownership/partnership, executive or managerial leadership with decision-making authority, or serving as a primary local representative?
  • I have demonstrated leadership in business and/or philanthropic efforts beyond participation with roles of responsibility, influence, or oversight that contribute to community impact; please describe.

If the applicant is an active candidate for elected office, please refer to the club's policy.

Steps for Membership


Scholarships Now Available

Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club has launched a scholarship program for new members. The goal of the program is to identify up to five new Rotarians each year who are thought leaders, with a focus on underrepresented communities, who can bring positive contributions to Downtown Rotary but find the full cost of the annual membership a barrier to entry.

  • Applications will be accepted on an annual basis through June 15th.
  • Scholarships will be awarded in June each year.
  • Applicants still must meet the criteria for membership and submit a standard application for membership along with the scholarship application.
