Community Work

Solving real problems takes real commitment and vision. For more than 100 years, Rotary's people of action have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on projects. From parks and art to sharing time, talent and treasure with those in need, we are always working to better our community, country and world.

Arc of Dreams

As an early partner, the members of Downtown Rotary were instrumental in bringing this wonderful piece of art and economic development to Sioux Falls. This was a project supported by the club's Centennial Fund. We proudly display a plaque next to the Arc that reads "Be the Inspiration".

Rotary Park

The land for Rotary Park, located at 2400 E. 26th Street was donated to the city in 1972 and work continued on the park throughout the 1970s. The park is now home to the city's first outdoor fitness court and also offers a variety of amenities including: accessible playground, restroom and picnic shelter as well as access points to the bike trail, fishing and canoe/kayak.

Miracle Field

Downtown Rotary of Sioux Falls members are people of action and when the opportunity to help raise funds for the Frank L. Boyce Miracle Field, our membership hit it out of the park. Miracle Field as it is known in Sioux Falls is a specialized field for adaptive baseball. It is located on the north end of Covell Lake/Terrace Park baseball complex.

Rotary Centennial Plaza

The Rotary Centennial Plaza in the heart of Downtown Sioux Falls, was created as a permanent place of congregation and highlights the important contributions of Rotary to the city of Sioux Falls and around the world! This project visually outlines the pillars of Rotary and was funded as part of the Centennial Fund project. For the fund, the club raised more than $200,000 to make grants to charitable initiatives throughout the city in celebration of the Club's 100th anniversary. It truly is a lasting Rotary legacy project and acknowledgment to the people we serve.
