Tony Nour

Tony Nour has had an incredibly positive impact on the Downtown Rotary Club. Tony was sponsored by Joel Dykstra in 2014 as part of our Club's intentional efforts to invite the next generation of Sioux Falls' leaders to be active members of Rotary. Since that time, Tony has demonstrated time and time again his strong personal commitment to our Club. His list of contributions is significant, including:

  • Downtown Rotary Club President 2021-22
  • Downtown Rotary Board member since 2017
  • Serves on the Qualifications Committee
  • Chair of Rotary Youth Services Committee in 2018
  • Hosted a Rotary Youth Exchange student from Feb-Apr 2020
  • Junior Rotarian Chair 2015-2018
  • Worked collaboratively with Jesse Schmidt (President 2019-2020) and Jason Herrboldt (President 2020-21) to effectively move our Club to an online format in response to COVID
  • Has moderated a total of 21 programs since we transitioned the Club to a "moderated program style" format
  • Chair of the Program Committee in 2020-2021 with a renewed focus on bringing timely, relevant and exceptional programs to our Club each week.
  • Worked extensively with Mayor TenHaken and the Helpline Center to develop a three-way partnership to lead the Sioux 52 mentoring initiative
  • Sponsored 13 new Downtown Rotarians since 2020

In addition to his service to Rotary, Tony is also gives generously of his time, talent and treasure to numerous organizations. He lives out Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self" in his daily life. Here are a few examples:

He is a remarkable leader for our Club and his efforts over the past several years serve as an inspiration to all!
