America’s 250th Celebration & Rotary Annual Meeting

On Monday, June 30th, we’ll prepare for the upcoming Independence Day holiday by learning about the United States Semiquincentennial in 2026. Dr. Ben Jones, State Historian and Director of the South Dakota State Historical Society, leads the SD America 250 commission and will share more about the preparations underway for the celebration.

This will also be the annual meeting of our Downtown Rotary club. President Kurt Loudenback will take a look back on this past year and the new slate of club board of directors for 2025-2026 will be elected. We will also announce the Rotarian of the Year.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Shepard's pie with homemade biscuits, gravy and salad bar.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
