March 10
Weekly Meeting
Removing the Stigma of Autism

The days of isolating or marginalizing kids with autism are gone. We have learned over the years that these kids are very bright and are capable of leading fulfilling lives. Join us today to hear from University officials, parents and employers on how they have successfully aided in the integration of kids with autism into mainstream society. Joining the conversation will be: Rotarians Chris Ekstrum and Jeff Griffin, SDSU Dean of Education & Human Sciences Dr. Evan Ortlieb, Augustana University Dean of Education Dr. Laurie Daily and Moderator Dr. Jane Stavem.
The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Fried Perch w/ cheesy hashbrown casserole, and salad bar.
The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
