Weekly Meeting

Courageous Conversation: Data Centers in South Dakota

Should hyperscale data centers be built in South Dakota? The answer will shape our communities, economy, and resources for decades.

In this Braver Angels–style program, two supporters and two opponents will present their views. Then Rotarians become participants. Members may step to the microphone to offer a brief statement to the moderator as part of a structured community dialogue. This is not a debate. It is an exercise in Rotary’s commitment to Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention by listening, speaking respectfully, and seeking common ground on a complex issue.

Come ready to engage, not just observe.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Bacon Beans, Bread & Butter.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
