District Governor Visit & Promising Futures Book Program

Downtown Rotary is part of Rotary District 5610 which includes 38 clubs in our area. Bruce Nearhood is serving as the District 5610 Governor for a rare second year! DG Nearhood has a heart for service and understands how clubs can work together to Unite for Good. He will tell us about Rotary’s service efforts around the world and within our District and challenge Downtown Rotary to make an even bigger impact.

September is Basic Education & Literacy month. Steve Hildebrand with The Promising Futures Fund will tell us how Downtown Rotary’s District Grant and matching funds will help Sioux Falls elementary students.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Baked pork loin, scalloped potatoes, veggie blend, and salad bar.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
