Weekly Meeting
F35: A Generational Airpower Investment Opportunity for Sioux Falls
The South Dakota Air National Guard is honored to host the nationally recognized, and combat proven 114th Fighter Wing at Joe Foss Field. For more than 35 years, the 114th’s F-16 fighter jets have been a familiar presence and point of pride in Sioux Falls. Today, there is an active basing competition to recapitalize existing Air Force Fighter Wings with the most advanced fighter jet in the world – the F35. Rotarian Steve Watson will moderate a discussion with South Dakota National Guard Adjutant General Mark Morrell and Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce Public Policy Vice President Mitch Rave to discuss the national competition and how local business and civic leaders can help advocate for Sioux Falls and South Dakota in the competition.
The buffet lunch begins at 11:30 am. The menu is: BYO Steak or Chicken Fajitas with Fajita-spiced & sauteed Red & Green Bell Peppers and Red Onions, toppings, Mexican Rice & Mexican Street Corn Esquites (off the cob)
The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
