Empowering Success: Stories from First-Generation American Business Owners in Sioux Falls

Join us for an enlightening and inspiring discussion at the Downtown Rotary on Monday, July 1, where we will hear from a distinguished panel of first-generation American business owners from the greater Sioux Falls area, including: Selene Zamorano, owner of ZBM and CEO of the SD Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Vania Gamboa, owner and CEO of El Effecto and owner of Gamboa's First Class Detail, LLC.; and James Landon, owner of 1st GenHQ. Moderated by Rotarian Brienne Maner, these dynamic entrepreneurs will share their unique journeys, challenges, and triumphs as they navigate the complexities of building successful businesses in the greater Sioux Falls community.

Our panelists represent a diverse array of industries and backgrounds, each bringing a wealth of experience and insight. They will discuss the factors that have driven their success, the obstacles they have overcome, and the contributions they are making to our community. This event is an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial spirit that fuels our local economy and to celebrate the rich cultural diversity that enhances our business landscape.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be Turkey BLT Sandwiches, Seasoned Potato Chips, Tossed Salad, Fresh Fruit and Dessert. RSVP and online payment is required by 5 pm on Wednesday, June 26th. If you miss the deadline, please still join us for Rotary, but lunch may not be available.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the Holiday Inn City Centre, Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy.
