Weekly Meeting

Ag Series: Soybeans and the impact on the South Dakota Economy

In the midst of trade wars, tariffs, and a government shutdown, harvest season is upon us.

Join us for a two-part conversation on all the factors playing into a major economic driver in the state of South Dakota – agriculture.

The first part of the conversation will focus on the impact of soybeans on our local economy and how farmers and processors are managing through this year’s harvest season. Panelists Tom Kersting (CEO of SD Soybean Producers as well as CEO of High Plains Processing), Ty Eschenbaum (A1 Development) and producer Paul Casper join moderator Rotarian Chris Daugaard for a timely conversation.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be: Burger bar, French fries, corn on the cob and salad bar.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
