Rotary on the Road at the State Theatre – The State Theatre & the South Dakota Film Industry

Join us for a special Rotary on the Road event held on location at the historic State Theatre! Moderator Rotarian Allison Weiland will lead a conversation exploring the Theatre's remarkable 100-year history and its enduring role in downtown Sioux Falls.

We'll also turn the spotlight on South Dakota's growing film industry, featuring local filmmakers:

• Carson Knecht
• Tate Mohlenkamp
• Brian Bieber

Our panelists will discuss current and recent film projects, offering an inside look at what it takes to make movies in South Dakota.

Boxed Lunches will be available to pre-order for $20. They will be catered by M.B. Haskett featuring locally-sourced and homemade items and will include a turkey or ham sandwich, assorted chips, homemade chocolate chip cookie and bottled water. Lunches must be reserved by Tuesday, August 11th.

NO RSVP is necessary if you plan to attend, but not eat lunch.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
