Accessibility in Art: Seven Art Movements Exhibit
Join us on April 20th as we celebrate creativity, accessibility, and the power of raising expectations. Washington Pavilion and the National Federation of the Blind of South Dakota invite the community to experience Seven Art Movements, a free tactile exhibition that brings masterpieces by da Vinci, Vermeer, and van Gogh to life through touch. This collaboration champions accessibility and inclusion, offering visitors a hands-on exploration of seven pivotal art movements while reinforcing the NFB’s mission to raise expectations and remove barriers for blind and low‑vision individuals. Past Rotarian and volunteer with the National Federation of the Blind of South Dakota Rich Crawford and Maddie Grogan, Direct of Education and Museums at the Washington Pavilion will discuss this unique exhibit and accessibility in the arts. Rotarian Kerri DeGraff will moderate.
The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The
menu will be: Lemon pepper chicken, asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes and salad.
The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance in Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
