Bridging Boundaries: State University Engagement in Sioux Falls

Join us on April 15th for an energetic panel discussion featuring representatives from South Dakota State University, University of South Dakota, and Dakota State University, as they share their plans and initiatives for engaging with the Sioux Falls community beyond their hometowns. Dr. Ashley Podhradsky, Vice President for Research & Economic Development at Dakota State University; Vernon Brown, Associate Vice President for External Affairs at South Dakota State University; and Alissa Matt, Assistant Vice President for External Relations at University of South Dakota will provide insights into their universities' current presence, collaborative efforts, and future expansion strategies in Sioux Falls. Moderated by Downtown Rotarian Brienne Maner, this discussion promises to explore innovative approaches to fostering educational, economic, and cultural connections between higher education institutions and the vibrant Sioux Falls community.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be Peppadew Pork Loin, Garlic Cheddar Red-Skinned Mashed Potatoes, Chef's Vegetable, Tossed Salad, Fruit and Dessert. RSVP and online payment is required by 5 pm on Wednesday, April 10th. If you miss the deadline, please still join us for Rotary, but lunch will not be available.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the Holiday Inn City Centre, Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy.
