Beyond the Uniform — Exploring the World of Veterans
Join us for a panel discussion moderated by Rotarian Danielle Konechne featuring three organizations that serve our veteran community: the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, The Alliance, and the Sioux Falls Vet Center. We'll explore the transition from military to civilian life, the challenges veterans face that often go unseen, and what meaningful support looks like beyond simply saying "thank you for your service."
Our panelists will share insights into the needs of veterans today, common misconceptions about military service, and practical ways individuals, businesses, and community organizations can make a difference here in Sioux Falls.
Panelists:
- Aaron Pollard, Deputy Secretary, South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs
- Paul Miller, Veteran Outreach Program Specialist, Sioux Falls Vet Center (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs)
