War in Ukraine and Gaza: A Local Look

On Monday, June 17th, Local experts from Augustana, SDSU and USD recap the history and implications of the Ukraine/Russia and Israel/Hamas wars. A distinguished panel, led by former governor and Rotarian Dennis Daugaard, delves into the potential outcomes of these crises and their implications for South Dakota and the broader United States. Joining the panel will be: Timothy Schorn, Director, International Studies Program, University of South Dakota; Jennapher Lunde Seefeldt, Associate Professor of Government & International Affairs, Augustana University; & James Murphy, Associate Professor of Religion, South Dakota State University.

The buffet lunch will be available beginning at 11:30 am. The menu will be Meatloaf with Guiness BBQ Sauce, Roasted O’Brien Potatoes, Sweet Corn, Tossed Salad, Fresh Fruit and Dessert. RSVP and online payment is required by 5 pm on Wednesday, June 12th. If you miss the deadline, please still join us for Rotary, but lunch may not be available.

The presentation, at the club’s regular weekly meeting, will be held at the Holiday Inn City Centre, Sioux Falls and will begin at noon. All Downtown Sioux Falls Rotary Club programs are open only to Rotarians and their guests. All programs are subject to the club's Privacy Policy. Local media are invited to attend to record the session.
