Downtown Rotarian Receives Spirit of DeWald Award

Downtown Rotarian Keith Severson was honored on Tuesday night at The Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting. Severson received the Spirit of DeWald Award.

According to their website, The Spirit of DeWald Award recognizes an individual who has achieved professional distinction and made significant community service contributions both locally and statewide. To be considered, a person must be a Chamber member, assist the Chamber in reaching its goals, be involved in other community, professional or charitable organizations; and present a positive attitude and professional image on behalf of the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce.

"Severson’s involvement with the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce is extensive. He served on the Board of Directors from 2009-2015, and was Chair of the Board in 2013-14. He played an important role in past Forward Sioux Falls campaigns and has served on multiple Chamber committees and councils. He is also a graduate of Leadership Sioux Falls class 6.

In the broader Sioux Falls community, Severson has been an active volunteer for decades. His past involvement includes chairing the Dakota Bowl, serving on the Board of Ethics for the City of Sioux Falls, and helping Startup Sioux Falls transition to their new downtown facility."
