Downtown Rotarians Host Successful Product Drive

Downtown Rotarians did their part to combat Period Poverty within our community throughout the month of January. Through a partnership with The Pad Party, an organization that collects pads, tampons, and incontinence products to be redistributed where needed in Sioux Falls, Rotarians donated 761 individual products.

“The Pad Party is an effort to combat Period Poverty, where many face the tough choice between menstrual products and essentials like food,” says The Pad Party co-founder Katrina Lehr-McKinney. “This issue, often invisible to some, is worsened by economic challenges, impacting the working poor the most. The Pad Party is hopefully relieving some people of this added burden.”

The drive was held in congruence with The Pad Party's 14th community-wide menstrual product drive to benefit The Banquet and The Promising Futures Fund.

“We are grateful to area Rotarians for supporting the cause and to our small business community for donating event space and drop-off locations,” says Pad Party co-founder and Downtown Rotarian, Brienne Maner.

Thank you to all Rotarians who participated!
